I went out to Bottom's Up in Lansing, Saturday night, to check out Mad Dog Mercer. This is a trio blues band.
The music was really cool. I enjoyed the band as just the bass, drums, and lead guitar. It was simple clean, fun to listen to. Marty Mercer's vocal and guitar were dripping blues. The original music was more fun than the cover songs, and their cover songs were very bluesy, something the original artists themselves I think would greatly enjoy.
