C2E2 2014

I have never been to C2E2 before. It was cool. Lots of people. I am use to lots of people, however, when it is related to only Doctor Who. It was interesting to see a big mix of comic and entertainment. Doctor Who being a small part, however an important part to me.

Let us just jump to the photos, the first being of one of my friends who I met at Chicago TARDIS . . .

Talk about being there at the right place and at the right time. These next two photos are really cool. The Ghost Busters shot at this dude and he went flying . . . and I mean flying on his own accord. I wonder if he is a stunt man by trade?

Yes! Roller skates!!!! (For the love of derby.)

I really enjoy the cosplay. People put hundreds of hours into their costume. It is their art, their passion for a genre, character, and most of all for themselves. They are able to do this because of respect. People here respect one another and do not take welcome to "come on's" from fans. This is meant to be a "safe place" for them to enjoy. C2E2 does a great job to promote this type of environment. I do my best too, to help protect the peace as it were when I see something going awry. I hope you will too when you attend events like this.

Some fans are camera shy, while others want to show you what they've got. Some just like to pose . . .

Another friend of mine attending the convention . . .

Eve Myles and I clowning around while she signs a photo of us taken the day before . . .

My Sci-Fi nut (now bride) having a photograph collage signed by Eve . . .

Had my exploding TARDIS oil painting that I had commissioned signed by Vincent . . . yes, we are on first name terms . . .

This guy not only looked the part, he acted it even better . . .

Ha, my friend from an earlier photograph who changed costume. She is a Doctor Who fan, and fan of many other shows.

Saw a lot of improv friends here as well . . . too cool . . .

Met a couple ladies from Gorilla Tango. I have been wanting to photograph there, and they invited me!!!

If you are into comic book characters and Sci-Fi, this is the place to go. Even if all you want to do is cosplay in your own original, this is the place to do it. Please make some time for next year to the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2)!
