Music Improv at Studio BE 7/2/2014

Important to Know: Studio BE will be renamed Music Comedy Live (MCL Chicago) . . . a music comedy theater experience!!! They are fundraising to help with costs to transform the studio. I have donated. I am asking for you help in support of the arts. Please check it out by clicking here. Also, go back to the home page on their site to see what's playing.

Now for M.I.N.T. on a Wednesday night. I do get wrapped up in improv. I tend to do that a lot as a photographer - getting wrapped up in the moment of my surroundings. I then forget to photograph. Several times tonight I caught myself thinking, that was a nice moment to photograph. Just to find my camera in my lap, then feeling those around me thinking, "did you get the shot Mr. Photographer?!", knowing darn well I did not.

I learned what shoe tying is in improv tonight. One of those photos I forgot to take, because I was being educated. In all, I enjoy this evening because I was well entertained. Here are some photos for you to enjoy.

Let the games begin!!!

Support the arts. Support improv. Support music improv. I am not telling you to donate. The choice is yours, and yours alone. I am asking to support the arts. In particular, to give a monetary donation to this particular studio. They have helped me see life through a new lens. They have helped me to perfect my view through the lens. Heck, I will even pay your way to see your first (or second) Wednesday night music improv at Studio BE!

Here is a list of links to my other blogs on these imrovs, starting with those I took at Studio BE. Also some from Donny's Skybox at Second City, The Public House Theatre, and Stage 773.

The Public House Theatre

Donny's Skybox

I list all these venues because my friends improv at these venues. The list of friends is becoming long. Still, I would like to thank some of them.

First and foremost is Stephanie McCullough Vlcek for allowing me to photograph my first improv - WhoProv!!! That is what started all of this. Through that, I have thoroughly enjoy following Keenan Camp. I enjoy his antics on FB and on stage. You never know what he will pull off, or take off. I also follow Courtney Fontaine, Brit Belsheim, Stephen Kropa, C.J. Tuor, Ryan Perisin, and my SFX man Byron Roussin.  All from Who Prov.  I have added Stacey Smith and Katie Dufrense.  Heather Scholl is now on my list, along with Courtney Crary, Marie Maloney, and Caroline Nash who I cannot help but adore. As I wrote, the list is long. Much longer than this. I do thank each and every one of you.

Of course, what I enjoy from all these people is their improv. Thanks improvs!!!
