Happy Birthday David Eylander!!!!!
Okay, it has been a long while since I have been back to Paul Henry's Art Gallery and the Thursday night JAM. It is a great place to hang out, listen to music, be with people, and to be surrounded by art.
Here are some photos of the evening. Note, yes, I did take a lot of photos of Tony. He impressed me the first time I saw him about a year and a half ago. We share a circle of friends, I sometimes see him, and it was just a pleasure to listen to him perform tonight.
I have not seen my pals Lauren or Adrian for a while. Was a real treat to catch up with them at Paul Henry's. Felt like a reunion to me.
Paul Henry's is probably one of the most enjoyable places to celebrate your birthday too . . . you will see more of this further down . . .
Live auction of Lauren's work. I have 3 pieces of hers, which I believe was from the same set as this one. Remember the commercial, "I own my own Dion"? Well, that reminds me of, "I own my own Lauren's" . . .
I was out witted. Birthday boy was sitting in the back, where I had perched myself, then when David comes out with the cake, he goes running up front to great David. Me scrambling behind trying to take a photo . . . no respect for the photographer I say . . . lol
Was cool to see my friend Josh playing the harp with Tony this evening too. We met when I was photographing my friend from The Robots, probably a year ago. It is always a pleasure to see him when we cross paths, and we seem to cross paths often enough. We kept threatening each other we would meet at Paul Henry's one day, and behold! We did!!!
I am leaving you with a photo I took from next door, of the Towle Theater. David of Paul Henry's introduced me to this fabulous theater, and I have been having a blast ever since photographing there.
