This was a way cool event, held by WVLP, at the Valparaiso University Center for the Performing Arts, Duesenberg Recital Hall. What was more way cool was that this event highlighted our local NWI musical starts. What was way way cool, I know most of them!
In the hallways . . .
I would like to thank WVLP 98.3 FM for supporting our NWI musicians, and starring them in a venue like this. This was very nice as a spectator. I can only imagine the warmth each musician felt playing this beautiful venue. Please . . . do this again!
WVLP on 98.3 FM ValpRadio is a community radio station is totally independent, which allows them to "exercise unique media freedom of speech". This means that approximately 50% of the music on WVLP comes from local artists. That is good news for us.
I have stated before, and will state again, NWI is dripping in talent, both in music and in the other arts. We need to continue to showcase this talent. We need to become the cultural artistic melting pot of the country.
Here are photos of who starred this evening. Yes, there are many more out there. It was just this time for these musicians to shine for us.
