This was a great comedy in many ways. A country-house hotel outside London in 1992. The set clearly gives you the feeling, both inside the rooms and looking outside the window at the church. British humor with some quick thinking and "play along" humor, what can go wrong?
Yes, this may be something of a remake on a theme. However, I believe the simplicity of this play, even when the dialogue can become complicated because of the quick thinking on their feet to cover things up, makes this very funny all the way through.
I really enjoyed the acting. To direct and make happen the dialect and pace the lines have to come out leaves you with an appreciation on how well performed this was.
