No Kings Day @ Knox, IN

So, I had several locations where I could support and photograph the protest of No Kings Day. A friend asked me to join them in Knox, Indiana, and that is where I went.

I worked in Knox for about three months. I left there for a job much closer to home. During that time I was able to get the "flavor" of the area, a Farming community that is close nit to their community values. Also, very Republican and I would have to say some KKK thrown in.

Knowing this I was prepared for anything. End of the story, everything went fine.

As I arrived there was a White pickup truck driving around with the driver yelling out the window at the protesters starting to gather at the location. Police cars were somewhat huddled near by. Traffic was flowing business as usual. When noon time came the police moved their cars at all four street corners  of the protest area, then used their cars to block the streets of traffic, which I found odd. The guy in the truck was still driving around being a nuisance for the police. The protesters really did not care about him.

Normal traffic kept coming wanting to get through but the police would not let them, and about fifteen minutes later the police put up saw horse barriers on the street to let the public know the street was closed at this location.

Now, the point of putting a protest together is to publicly show disagreement with an issue at large. This raises awareness (in this case attention to justice) and pushing for changes. However, in our case we were protesting changes being implements by our President that are against the Constitution and Rule of Law. The Constitution the President swore an oath to uphold and be accountable for, which he is not doing. This protest was also to signify treatment of people, specifically aliens who had entered the country legal or not, and the fair treatment that is to be provided per our Constitution. Let the due process decide if they need to be kicked out or sent to another countries prison.

Among all this is also the attitude of the President, which is more like an attitude of someone running a corporation where everyone answers to him, like he's king, rather than providing solutions that all or the majority of citizens would like to see him do, as the position of President answers to the people of this great country. Instead, this President seems to only answer to himself, and his only obligation is to himself and those who directly elected him. Keeping it simple, he is only concerned if concerned at all, with only half of this country. The other half in his mind needs to be eliminated, deported, silenced, and if he could get away with it, die.

There are so many things wrong with this President, and very unlike any President we have ever had. His reign acting as King has no boundaries it appears and there is something new / wrong every day he remains in office. So much that it is impossible to list what idiotic things he has done his first four months in office of his second (split) term.

So, yes there was a protest nation wide. The day was picked to coincide with his personal need to have a military parade to celebrate the U.S. Army's 250th and his birthday. This to me was the guise. It was more a parade of power and on his birthday to show how important his bloated ego is to himself, spending perhaps $45 Million for it. This, in a time that we need to cut the national debt in half, which he blamed the prior Democratic President for (and not himself for is prior Presidential term). This President promised he would cut all the wasteful spending. Yet he does this, spend our money on something we did not want (as seen by the coverage of super low attendance at the parade). And with a GOP known for their strong desires to cut spending, and not raise the national debt (which this President has added approximately $200 billion to it in his first 100 days in office this term, and it is still rising). So, there is a lot to gripe about and I have not even talked about tariffs. All the information you need to understand the protest is out there for you to read. The fallacy of the President's followers is that they listen to the President, who lies in order to give his people what they want to here, and they spue his rhetoric to the rest of us who know better and live in the real world.

Here are some photographs taken during this two hour event.

Photo below is small group of a couple small groups who do not believe in the protest and fully support the President. Very few showed up. The protestors had them outnumbered at least 6:1 (average) I am estimating.

And yes, someone was exercising their write to bear arms which is protected by the Constitution. Get the irony here, they are protected yet they do not mind at all that the President is stomping on the Constitution and Rule of Law, taking away other rights given to all of us by the Constitution and Rule of Law.

More observers who did not believe in the protest.

A few more who did not believe.

And a few more who did not believe.

The only reason this next photograph of the guy with the red backpack is that he had a knife in a sheath that appeared as long as a machete, and what did appear to be fishing poles hanging out the top of the bag. Not sure what the knife was actually for nor how legal that knife was walking with it through town.

This last photo is of the guy that was in the truck earlier in the day. Near the end of the two hours he spoke to us through a speaker of the bed of his truck. I could not hear what he was saying, so I crossed the street to get a sample.

He spewed the same rhetoric as people have on Facebook. It is like the President's followers do not have a thought of their own, acting like sheeple repeating and believing what the President says.

You want illegals to enter this country to kill people” – No, we do not want illegals to enter this country nor to kill people. We do not want illegals to enter at all. We do want the President to follow the Constitution and the Rule of Law when it comes to illegal or legal aliens who enter and are in this country.

Trump won by a landslide you lost” – No, that is not correct. According to one website President Trump won the popular vote by a 1.48% margin. Going down the list President Biden won with a 4.45% margin, previous President Trump -2.09%, and President Obama 7.27% and 3.86% for his two terms. The big hitters are Bill Clinton with 8.51%, President Regan with 18.21%, President Nixon with 23.15%, and of course President Washington with 100%. What this really proves is that the President Trump followers are either unaware of the facts, do not what to know the facts, or know and will keep spreading the President's lies because that is what they prefer to hear.

Trump is not a King, only our Lord is King” – Correct, he is not. Yet they fail to recall, never knew, or just plain chose to overlook the fact that the White House published an image on the White House social media accounts of President Trump wearing a crown and the text of “LONG LIVE THE KING”. Fitting to the egotistical narcissist that the President is, treating being President as his right to do whatever he wants, to be in the position of the most important person in the world, to be a monarch, chief of everything American. Sorry chump.

No Kings Day
100 W. Washington
Knox, IN

The one image of the President in the likes of the cover of Time Magazine released by the White House on their official social media. The statue of the President came after his comment about the U.S. taking over Gaza and that we could do something with Gaza. Just like how the President wants to take over Greenland and Canada. He talks like a King. He needs to be a President.
