This is such a wonderful event that takes place during the summer on Monday evenings. The rally point for me is at the Paradise Mototiki & Co. on 489 Fayette St. in Hammond, then walking down to the classic car, music, and art events taking place at the same time.
This is for the community to get together, and I do not mean just the local community. The classic car community, art community, music community, all have a place to circle around to start their week off, and to support small and local business. Families attend, couples on a date can be seen, just plain enjoyment all around. You can sit along side the road as I do, and just enjoy what is happening, and in my case take some photographs.
Here are some photographs from this weather threatening evening, though that sure did not put a damper on my fun.
Though I like my first photograph from this angle (photo earlier in the blog), I was trying to get more of the exhaust pipes. I need to start bringing a remote flash to help highlight features.
You have to appreciate the wonderful staff working this event. This is what starts the enjoyment for the evening. The "Hello", smiles, welcomeness. So inviting.
