Zhou B Art Center - Chicago

Another one of my past life change growths was being introduced to the Zhou B Art Center in Chicago and their 3rd Friday's open studios. I was actually wanting to photograph Lou Shields, a musician and artist from Paul Henry's Art Gallery, who was playing his music on the 4th floor at Zhou B. After walking around, seeing the activity, all of the very cool art, I kept coming back. Over the years I have reduced the number of times I go. Like life, things change, even at venues. What attracted you at one time may not be as strong today. Though this time I wanted to see Diana Leviton Gondek and her art, which I first saw on my very first visit to Zhou B. She is one of the artists who have hung in there through the years.

Here are some photographs, starting with one of the ramp that leads you to the entry.

Images from the first floor.

The next photograph was taken through the freight elevator grating as we traveled up to the 4th floor. This may have been the 3rd floor we were passing.

Diana Leviton Gondek's studio, and of course the wonderful Diana! (website)

Diana goofing around with me because I was photographing her.
