I met Perls a few years ago at The Office Session, which Lou Shields and Jody Robbins invited me to. Talk about a world experience, listening to true roots music. I have some links to those blogs at the end of this one.
Pearls music is "Vintage Americana". She has a powerful stage presence backed with her own voice, and band. Tonight she played a stripped down band version of her music, acoustic, no electric. Sort of reminds me of going to Paul Henry's Art Gallery on a Thursday night. The back room of Pokro is not too large. Her voice carried very well.
