"A Night At The Crossroads 2" (1 of 4)

"A Night At The Crossroads 2"
Two Horseman

NW Indiana music kicked some ass this evening. Two great bands, The Steepwater Band and Marrakesh Express - CSNY experience, along with our horseman Billy Ozzello and Chris Grove, played a show at our Avenue 912 venue that rocked from beginning to end. Five (5) hours of music in all.

This get together is the brain child of Mike Kucic, calling it "A Night At The Crossroads". Last year was the first. This evening the second. Keep counting people!!!

In support of our music and these musicians this evening was our own X-Rock 103.9 FM, The Classic Rock of the Region, with Scott Rosenberg as our MC.

The entire night was hitting on all cylinders. Quality music from musicians that stepped up for us. So much so that I cannot just throw all of the photographs into one blog post. Each deserve their own headline. So, I am breaking this into 4 posts. This being the first with Billy Ozzello and Chris Grove. Next will be The Steepwater Band followed by Marrakesh Express, and then finally both bands together. For blog 2 of 4 click here, for blog 3 of 4 click here, and for 4 of 4 click here.

So lets get started with our heavy hitters, Billy Ozzello and Chris Grove! The first two photographs are of Billy during sound check.

Meanwhile, back in the greenroom . . .

The third photograph below is the original from the venue lighting. Played around a little bit in software and came up with the first two. I am partial to black and white . . . what photographer would not be.

Greg Ashby was asked to join for this song . . .

I thank Billy Ozzello and Chris Grove for being such a powerhouse cornerstone in music, and in NW Indiana. Their undying love for music and the connection to people and other musicians is a wonderful sight.

I will take this time now to thank Avenue 912 for giving NW Indiana such a wonderful venue to showcase our talent. The staff is very wonderful. Patrick Murdock (owner) was engaged to make sure that all of us have the experience we came for. Quality all around. Please consider them for your events!!!

Thank you to the sound and lighting booth, Darek Shawver and Joe Doerr, of Sound Cool Audio LLC from Merriville. I will put Sound Cool against anyone in the business. They are perfectionists!!!

Lastly, a huge thanks to X-Rock 103.9 FM radio for supporting our music, and most of all our local musicians. You give us hope and happiness every time we turn the radio on . . . Rock On!!!
