Taltree Arboretum & Gardens

My bride Christi and I went to the Tall Tree Arboretum & Gardens.  Christi has been there several times, and really enjoys it.  Me, this was my first time. What I found cool was, they accepted my Morton Arboretum pass, so we got in for free.

Probably their biggest attraction is the Taltree Railway Garden. At least it was for me. They also have a large diverse collection of oak trees. That made the visit very colorful this time of the year. It was also nearing the end of the season to see the G-scale model trains. If you do go, and you want to see the trains, I believe you can see them from mid-May through end of October, in good weather.  It is best to call ahead if the weather is questionable.
