I have been going to the Hammond location for many years. First it was for the Italian ice. Then I had their Italian Hoagie, then their Italian Hoagie with double meat, then . . . you get the picture. I love their Italian Hoagie.
True to authenticity, because that is just who they are, the Hoagies are to die for: Classic Philly, Sweet Steak, Chicken Philly, you cannot go wrong. I just happen to enjoy the Italian the most.
Italian Ice too of many flavors, that you can mix too based on size. Flavors vary for the day because they make their own. Some of those flavors are: Creamy Coconut, Mango, Strawberry, Blue Razz, Pineapple, Green Apple, Cherry, Piña Colada, Lemon, Swedish Fish, Cotton Candy, Orange Cream, Nerds, and obviously more depending on what they want to make and of course what you keep asking for. My favorites are the Strawberry, Coconut, and Piña Colada.
That's not the thrill, well yes it is. However there is another thrill, their new Schererville location. This place is so cool, roomy, a place to hold an Italian Ice social, a place where family can sit down and eat Hoagies all day. So much can be done here. Me, I'd like to see some local solo artist acoustical music. I think an Italian Hoagie in exchange is fair . . . well at least if I were the musician.
All of the Hoagies are made to order, and quality is maintained. I have never had one that was out of place from the hundreds of others I have eaten. So, have some patience while they work their craft. Have a small Italian Ice while you wait, or two, or three or bring home a quart and get it over with.
Please check out the Schererville location, and leave some Hoagie and Italian Ice for me will you . . . you can always come back for more 😁
Here are a few photos I took.
