Dollinger Family Farm 2017

People come to Indiana to see the farms, barns, orchards, however I found this place, the Dollinger Family Farm in Chanahon, IL, to be better than anything I have gone to in Indiana.

My bride Christi and I took the trip out there for the first time, without Bubba, because I wanted to see the Eagle that S.O.A.R. (save our American raptors) was going to show. I had not been close to an eagle before. This eagle is names Deshka, and is from Alaska. Because she was injured early, she did not grow up to be as big as other Alaskan eagles.

You can find out more on Christi's blog by clicking here.

This little guy was fascinated with the drain pipe going under the road.

The owl was cool, in that this is Dickens the owl used in promotional posters for Harry Potter.

Lots for the kids to do, including a petting farm that I did not photograph. I think Bubba would have had fun there. Perhaps next time we will take him.

This old tractor was cool, and from what I can tell fully functional.

For this time of the year, they had a corn maze that many took advantage of.

Anchors

I saw Anchors several years ago at Paul Henry's Art Gallery. They caught my attention. When I saw they were playing at Off Square Brewery on Halloween, I needed to go see them again. Unfortunately for me and and my bride Christi, we did not get there early enough for the kitchen.

Here area a couple photographs for you to enjoy!

Heathers The Musical - High School Edition

By Laurence O'Keefe & Kevin Murphy

What a wonderful performance by the Towle Youth Theater Ensemble (TYTE)!!! I could not have been more proud of them during this photography shoot. Everyone was superb. Great acting, and I have to say a profound outcome of good directing.

From my vantage point, with the cast of 20 of our youth, and multiple roles played by 3 of them, this seamless performance was a real joy. Everyone hit their marks with enthusiasm, intent, and so heart felt that you felt you could be at a Broadway show.

Hats off to the cast and all who supported them. Especially Jeff Casey the director. I assure you the cast made him proud. A list of everyone's names is at the end of the blog. Enjoy the photographs!

I have to say, I enjoyed Julia playing the part of Heather Chandler. She was strong, as the part required. This particular scene was meant to be a little over the top, and she played it perfectly.

Cali played the part of Martha Dunnstock. Her character was low key, written into the musical here and there. Her performance as an actor was the best I have seen. She nailed the role, and her voice was so wonderful to listen to. Bravo Cali! (Hence why there are so many photos in this series.)
