"Soul Yard Revisited" - Lou Shields day 3

Here is a link (click here) to Friday's opening of "Soul Yard Revisited" by Lou Shields.  I did not attend Saturday, so no blog for that day.

Sunday Paul Henry's Art Gallery put on a BBQ for "Soul Yard Revisited" by Lou Shields.  Many attended for the food, fun, friendship, the family social that Paul Henry's brings to the table, and for the artist and musician Lou Shields!

When I arrived Lou was burning the hot dogs, but so what (he was side tracked by people coming up to him). I thought they tasted great. Though I have to admit, David grills a good burger himself. People brought food, good spirit, the want to enjoy all that was around, which was all Lou today. I was happy to see Stephanie . . . she puts a smile on my face. And, I met another girl, however you will need to go through these photos first before I talk about her. Don't cheat and go to the end . . you will spoil the fun.

You can click on the photos to enlarge, and click on that same photo again to index through if you want.  I took some video with the camera as well.  Standing by Lou's car there was a breeze that the camera mic picked up, so bare with it.  And, I hand held the camera, so that is why the "shake" you will see at times.  I will have to bring my tripod next time to better steady the shoot.

Here you go . . .

Some of the art was moved to make room for Lou.  I liked how this piece was hung high, though the photo doesn't capture all that I saw . . .

Now, the girl I met. She first sat down next to me, looking at me, trying to figure me out. She then got up to dance, then came back and I photographed her. She walked around me, reminding me of the models I photographed in Atlanta, giving me the look, the move, the photo op. She would not tell me her name, or give me her number . . . C'est la vie. Here are the photos and movie. (Don't laugh too hard, and smile all you want.)

She then realized what she was doing, and ran away . . . it was not to be . . .

It was fun photographing this little girl.  Expect the unexpected.  As Stephanie and I talked about, it is the not knowing that makes life so interesting and fun, seeing like a little child.  So, as I have and will with my photography, I will continue to look through a new lens, seeing for the first time, capturing what is right in front of me, because that is the life I know.

Okay, back to the story . . .

So, I will have to go back to my one true love, who I admire for knowing who she is, understanding the simplicity of life . . . Stephanie . . .

She said she was catching flies, but I do not believe her . . . it is just love at first sight . . . :)
