The Robots at The Track

Always nice to go see / listen to my buddies from the band The Robots, and very nice when playing at The Track Lounge. The first band I ever photographed 13 years ago along with being my first music venue.

A bit slow this night, but made it even friendlier. Stage lighting was set low by the band, which made it super difficult for photography, so I did my thing the best I could. Hope you enjoy the photographs, and if you have not yet, go and enjoy the band!

Sunrise Greenhouse

It is always nice to visit Sunrise Greenhouse and to buy plants. Especially so since I am 4-weeks out of heart surgery. The place is huge, and I felt it during long walk. Good exercise, just a little bit too much at this time, so we did not walk through the entire place. It gave me time so sit on their bench chair swings, and wanting one, yet knowing I don't have a place for one. I need an 80 acre farm!

Of course they have been selling for a while for this season. You can tell by some of the open floor and open overhead basket trolley. The week before Mother's Day will start their busy selling, and just after there will be a lot more open space.

If you have not been there, plan a trip. You will not regret it. Straight down Interstate 394 which later turns into Rt. 1, and turn right road 9000. There is a house right on that intersection and it is possible you may not see the road because of the house. Look for the signs.

"The Mad Ones" at Towle Theater

by Kate Kerrigan & Bree Lowdermilk
Presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals

"If I don't pick it up the phone, it's sort of like it never happened." Just like if you do not go to this show, tonight, it did not happen. We need to chose to know and remember this musical.

This was a wonderful change of pace both in stage and musical. I'd say more about the stage but that would give too much away. The musical hit home too in a sad but happy way, one that you will walk away inspired.

Life is short, especially as you get older and realize that you did not take advantage of earlier opportunities to explore You. Reminds me of the old television show Route 66. Take some time to explore, understand, to realize what you want in life. Do it!

As I come closer to my heart surgery next week I cannot help but reflect on all this. Lots of past good moments, some lost moments. You have to be sure of yourself. A lot of self confidence. Perhaps a supporting nudge from your best friend. All memories now, yet it is blank ahead of you, so search out many more future memories.

The cast was funny, relatable. Everyone needs a Kelly in their life. Thank you for the lighting and sound, the music, the directing. Like my experience of my first musical at the Towle, 'Ordinary Days', I will remember this musical as well.
