Chester never cooperates with me (in anything). So, instead of trying to make him look at the camera, Christi would look in whatever direction Chester would look so that it would be a coordinated photograph. Turned out to be some fun.
I do not remember what town this was that we drove through. It was pretty cool, then we passed by this place. I turned around to go back and take a closer look. The stained glass just caught my attention.
In all, though I liked the art, it was a simple resale shop above full retail price that I would have paid at home. I like buying at places I stop at, for memory sake, but not this time.

Just Chester peaking around the bushes while sniffing.
We drove through Manistee on the way up and passed by this cool looking restaurant that was still under construction, "Scooby's". We stopped on the way back home to photograph it. Then we looked down the street which looked cool, and decided to drive down to look. There are a lot of "summer" towns along Lake Michigan that are neat looking, like you could handle living there. But Manistee seemed more the perfect place for us, if we were to move to Michigan.
Another place we drove by on the way up, and stopped at on the way back, was Green Acres Market. All of the windmills on the corner caught my attention. Again, seemed to be above retail price or I may have bought one.
In all it was nice to get away from the busy NW Indiana. Some moments caught us along the way that we hung onto. One being, there is a lot of good country, places you could be. The state of Michigan is one of them.
