Shirley Valentine at the Towle Theater

Do you feel in a rut? Do you like chips and egg? Practice your Liverpool vernacular and go see this play!

This story is of a Liverpool middle aged house wife. She has a lot to say, and says what is on her mind. Shirley feels she has not accomplished much in her life. She describes her years up to this point. As she describes her life, she finds that her peers did not necessarily see her as she saw herself. That never stopped her of course, seeing herself in her own eyes. However, understanding what others thought helped bring a little spice to her life. Such that, when her friend won a trip for two to Greece and invited Shirley, Shirley picked up and went. Her holiday changed her. It confirmed to her what I believe she already knew about herself. It gave her the confidence to proceed without doubt.

Oh, and note, all of the electric appliances work! What a set!

This next scene impels me to visit Greece. All thanks to Shirley.
