Steampunk Invasion - Bristol

Nothing like 2 sets of free tickets to get you out to the Bristol Renaissance Faire! Though, for Steampunk Invasion I would have paid to go!!!

This was the most perfect day for weather to attend the faire. My bride Christi dressed up in her newly acquired bad-ass outfit (which she is still working on), and I took the photos.

As one of my friends has stated, this is one of the places you can go and cosplay anytime, in theme or not, and not get harassed or feel out of place. Today seemed to be an even more corgile day with the steampunkers. Everyone came to have fun. More photographers than usual. For some reason less public than compared to the last time we were here. Perhaps not everyone likes steampunk.

Christi was excited about entering the costume contest, hence the paper badge you will see pinned to her in some of the photos. Her dream is to be a real bad-ass steampunker. She is still working on her costume. There were a lot of serious people in steampunk, and a lot of real good costumes today. Here are some photos of most of them. Enjoy!

I saw this face painted little lady riding on her mothers shoulders (I believe). It just hit me and I had to ask to take the photo. Thank you!

This young lady won her joust ad was being given her document of noble-ship . . . or something like that.
