So, where was I today? Can you guess?
It is 120 minutes round robin from my house. I burned 1/8th tank of gas, which includes some "on the grounds" driving.
Some great history here. This place was founded by an individual in 1922, and who's father founded Arbor Day. The name is used in other ventures, as the iconic little girl holding something under one arm (while something pours out the back of what she is holding) and while holding an umbrella in the other hand. Not that anyone would know this or even care, I dated a girl many moons ago who worked for that other venture.
I try to get back there every year. It is peaceful, educational, fund for children, and hold events. It is 1,700 acres, and they conduct leading scientific research on health and improvement. On what you ask? Well, that might give it away.
Here are some photographs for you to enjoy!
On this day, and some other days like it, doggies are allowed. I spent more time watching Bubba enjoy the smells and the cool breeze. We are going back!
More photographs for "Where Was I #3?" taken 7/11/2023.
First photograph below is, "Where are those kids going?" Second using a fill flash straight on. Third flash with dead batteries, so I could not adjust. Shooting toward the sunlight is not a sin if you have a reflector or flash. I think I will take the no battery approach next time and bring the reflector.
Fish!
