"Change is inevitable. Carpe diem, contribute to the play of life." - Wesley Bushby
At the end, you wondered who indeed was the snaggletooth madman this evening. Jim LaPietra played such a wonderful performance that I do not believe he is able to keep his own sanity after this.
The story, as told by Charles Dickens, is brought to an emotion that you can only find in theater, and from an actor who puts his all into the production. Every character in the book is portrayed in such a way, whether they are there or not, that you see the full scene of characters with this one-man performance.
I could explain more how this is done, but I will not. I will say, I will not perform color alterations like I might do with other photoshoots for the theater. It would take away from the purpose of what goes on in this play. What is noteworthy too, I have always photographed at the Towle Theater in full manual mode and set color temperature. So, this was a challenge to control what is being presented in this blog such that you can come back later, after the play, to better appreciate.
