Laura Joy at Wildrose

Oh I love this lady. Her writing, her music, her voice is so dependable that it makes things all right. She is a diamond, polished, sparkling, and long lasting.

When you go out to listen to some live music, you do not necessarily know what to expect. You go out anyway knowing you will at least meat some friends and family, that you will most likely enjoy the music. You may even enjoy the venue and food. It is dynamic in a sense, that you will not be able to pin point it until the end of the evening.

However, with Laura Joy you are going in order to see some beautifully written music, to see her smiley face, to pick up on her personality, and most of all to listen to her beautiful voice. Her emotions run deep, hence why she is so good. She opens herself up to you. All you have to do is listen.

I photograph for myself. What you see is how I view life. What is nice is that you see me through my lens. I am greatfull, happy, content, self assured, interested. Yet you will still see what life is presenting in front of me, even though it is me taking the photo.

In this blog post you will see Laura Joy. Though I chose the the time and place to photograph, my photographs will not represent the vibe of the evening. All I can do is to present the photos in humbled hope. What you will not "see" is her wonderful voice and lyrics. This detraction is sad in itself. I did take a couple videos, however, it is not the same, so I am not posting them. This is one of those rare and greatfull moments that you need to be there.

Like life, take time to smell the arts, and to experience people like Laura Joy, for they are wonderful.
