No Kings Day - Highland Indiana

Thank you President Trump for bringing us together for this "No Kings" day, in support of our Declaration of Independence. Together we protested you and your administration for being untruthful and negligent in your duties. Truly, the massive support you created against you has become the biggest and most beautiful protest ever. Congratulations!

Joyous socialization with others, the comradery, the feel of protest delight, all because of you, Mr. President. Bravo! And by the way, we are still waiting to collect our pay as you so proclaimed. So that you know, more than 1,000 of us lined all four corners of Ridge Road and Indianapolis Blvd. in Highland, Indiana, to collect this money.

No Kings Day. The last one I attended was in Knox, Indiana. Province to the KKK. Like then, today we protested the fascism of you, Mr. President. We protested the treating of immigrants. We protested your decision to make the rich richer, placing the burden of running this country at a cost that true taxpayers cannot afford.

We protested for no hate. We protested to maintain Medicare, not to reduce it. We protested "Hands Off Schools". We protested to release the Epstien files. We protested to follow the Constitution. We protested that "We Love The USA and Constitution". We protested that we are "A Republic" and not a dictatorship. We protested to "See The Truth" out of the constant lies from you, Mr. President. We made the statement that "Ikea Has Better Cabinets" (and I agree). We (the protesters) let people know "This Is What Democracy Looks Like". We protested that We The People will "RESIST" tyranny. We let people know that "The Power Of The People Is Stronger Than The People In Power". We protested against "Traitor Taco". We repeated our military statement "My Oath Was To The Constitution Not To One Man, U.S.A. Semper Fi". We protested against "Oligarchy, Fascism (one of the common themes), Censorship, Gerrymandering, Corruption, Racism, Nazis". We protested against ICE. We protested to "86 47". We protested that we do not want a pedophile President. And best of all, we protested Squirrels against fascism. Well, we even protested that "J.D. Vance Ate My Cat", among other protest signs. What was really uplifting were all of the automobile and 18-wheeler horns in solidarity of the protest. Then later to find out the rest of the country crushed it just like we did.

There were well over 1,000 protestors by my estimated count. It rained, and everybody protested louder, accompanied with many more sounds of automobile horns.

There was at least one Protestor supporting President Trump. Obviously we let him protest . . . freedom of speech. We know freedom of speech did not ride with you, Mr. President, during running for your first term, and perhaps now as well.

I did come across a problem. I had nothing on me indicating I was protesting, and was carrying my camera. I crossed the South walkway of Ridge during a green light, had the walk hand and the right of way (given the time remaining on the stoplight pole countdown clock), however both times I crossed I was met with a turning and accelerating vehicle coming at me, driver staring me in the face and screaming at me in what has become typical Republican slurs, and not yielding the right of way to the Pedestrian. Obviously I pointed to one of the drivers the timer and yelled "obey the law moron".

The GOP calls this 'hate America' rallies. Very un-American of you. We protested for the love of America. We cannot sit idly by and watch this administration lay America to waste. The Constitution, should any GOP be able to read it, gives us this right in the First Amendment. We are petitioning the government to redress our grievances against it. Anyone who thinks otherwise has been fooled again by you Mr. President and your administration.

We protested you Mr. President, who's administration put this image up in the White House, without your objection, that proclaimed you king. I hope you know how to tie the knot.

By proxy, this was also a protest how you, Mr. President, view yourself as Gaza's savior, through an AI generated ad.

If you (the reader) are from the hippie era and protested, you would be proud of our "No Kings" day. Everyone was well behaved. We did not stand on the street to block anybody. We took the insults from what presumably were the very low numbers of Republicans driving by. We were proud of each other, and of today's protest. WE PROVED THEM (President Trump and his followers) WRONG!

Here are some photographs of the protest. I will add short videos I took later. The protest started small (around 100 people) at the start, then grew. Near the end some left, while others stayed to the end. Thank you to all who participated, and even to those who could not make it. We know your hearts were with us. Bless everyone.

This is what we are protesting for, Democracy!!!

A start of a gathering for the NW corner.

Protesters gathering at the NE corner.

Protesters gathering on the SW corner. Of course, the main group was here at the SE corner.

Let the rain get stronger, along with us, and our support from the passing vehicles . . .

On the way home I spotted this and thought the colors were cool.
